Cabinets are some of the most common types of Furniture you can find. They may appear in Offices, File Rooms, Computer Rooms, Cipher Rooms and Storage Rooms. They are always found aligned against one of the walls of the room, and may be oriented in any direction.
A Cabinet may be Photographed for a chance to acquire data.
You can hide behind a Cabinet without crouching. You cannot jump over a cabinet.
Like all Containers, you may open a Cabinet in order to photograph its contents.
To open the Cabinet, simply walk up to the front side and press the "ENTER" key. Keep facing the Cabinet and press the "F2" key to photograph the contents.
A Cabinet may only be photographed once per Break-In. If you leave the building and Break In again, you may photograph the same Cabinet again.
Cabinets should be closed after examination. If left open, any enemy guard who spots the open Cabinet will raise the alarm immediately.
Enemy guards will occasionally open Cabinets while inspecting rooms. A few seconds after opening the Cabinet, the guard will automatically close it and move on. If a guard is killed or otherwise prevented from closing the Cabinet, it will remain opened and may be photographed with a Camera . There is no difference between photographing a Cabinet opened by Max or a Cabinet opened by a guard.
Types of InformationEdit
The contents are randomily selected just before Max photographs them. There is no way to influence the kind of information you receive from any Cabinet.
